Carlos Alcaraz has done it again beating Novak Djokovic for a second successive year to claim back-to-back Wimbledon titles.
The Spaniard dominated from start to finish, annihilating a player who has won 24 grand slam titles during a superb career.
Djokovic was blown away on a court where he has claimed victory on seven occasions and the wait for him to draw level with Roger Federer goes on.
Alcaraz has now won two of the three majors that have been contested this year and he takes his tally to four titles.
After winning a second title, Alcaraz received some praise on social media from the number one women’s player in the world, Iga Swiatek.

This was a final that saw Alcaraz complete the official changing of the guard on Centre Court at The All England Club.
His 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 victory was seriously impressive and very few have left Djokovic this battered and bruised at Wimbledon.
Swiatek departed Wimbledon early at this year’s Championships but nonetheless, she’s now reacted after Alcaraz’s win.
She posted on X: “Huuuuge congratulations @BKrejcikova and @carlosalcaraz for amazing two weeks and your titles.”
The world number one also posted three applause emojis and a smiley face, implying shes a big fan of both Wimbledon winners.
Alcaraz will dominate for many years to come
This was simply sensational from a player who continues to defy his tender years when he has a tennis racket in his hand.
Alcaraz will have to go some way to eclipse the 24 grand slam titles that Djokovic has won but if he stays healthy, why not?
The 21-year-old has four to his name now and frankly, it’s hard to see who stops him on a regular basis going forward.
Swiatek is a quality player herself and she knows quality when she sees it, with the player clearly liking how Alcaraz plays.
It’s going to be fascinating to see what Alcaraz can achieve in the coming years and he’s now served the rest of the tour with notice.
