Iga Swiatek remains top of the WTA rankings despite a very frustrating run since her French Open success.
Swiatek stormed her way to a fourth successive Roland Garros title in June, overcoming Jasmine Paolini in straight sets.
Since then, however, the world number one had very little to celebrate in terms of the remaining Grand Slams.
Swiatek has criticised the WTA schedule, with the Pole playing in the likes of Wimbledon, the Olympics, Cincinnati Open and US Open throughout the summer.
An Olympic bronze medal was secured in Paris, but a third round exit was suffered at SW19, followed by semi-final and quarter-final exits in Cincinnati and New York respectively.

Iga Swiatek equals Ash Barty WTA ranking record
John McEnroe questioned Swiatek’s defence at the US Open, where the Pole lost out to eventual runner-up Jessica Pegula.
Swiatek has, however, now commenced her 121st week as the WTA number one, tying Ash Barty for the seventh most weeks of all time, as per The Tennis Letter.
How many weeks can Iga Swiatek stay as the WTA number one?
Australian icon Barty certainly knows what it takes to compete at the very highest level, having won all three of her Grand Slam singles finals.
Swiatek will undoubtedly be eyeing further major success, which is very likely to come given how the Pole is only 23 years old.
She has already enjoyed a stunning career, with four French Open titles and one US Open title going her way so far.
Next on her agenda may be conquering the likes of the Australian Open or Wimbledon, with Barty having won both competitions during her career, along with the French Open.
Swiatek will be disappointed with her latest efforts on the court, but catching WTA number one record holder Steffi Graf is still within her grasp.
Her tally of 377 is, however, a long way away, with Martina Navratilova and Serena Williams second and third in the all-time list with 332 and 319 weeks at number one respectively.
