Jannik Sinner will look to make history when he takes on Jiri Lehecka in the Miami Open final.

The Italian, ranked second in the world, is bidding to become the eighth man in history to complete the ‘Sunshine Double’: winning Indian Wells and Miami back-to-back in the same season.

Roger Federer was the last player on the ATP Tour to achieve the feat, with the Swiss Maestro doing so back in 2017.

Serena Williams picked Roger Federer as the G.O.A.T.

The guy is a genius. I just feel like he is really the greatest player.

Sinner has been incredibly dominant so far throughout his Miami Open campaign, and is the overwhelming favourite to hoist the trophy.

Should he beat Lehecka, along with making history, the 24-year-old will earn a sizable paycheck.

The prize money on offer at the 2026 Miami Open

The winner of the 2026 Miami Open is set to receive a total of $1,151,380, while the runner-up will earn $612,340.

Sinner has faced Lehecka three times on the ATP Tour before, and has emerged triumphant on each occasion.

They first clashed at the Indian Wells Open back in 2024, where Sinner won comfortably in straight sets to reach the semifinals.

Lehecka put up more of a fight in their second career bout at the China Open later that season, forcing Sinner to a second-set tiebreak, but still came up short.

Their most recent matchup was at Roland Garros in 2025, where Sinner completely dominated Lehecka, winning 6-0, 6-1, 6-2.
