Coco Gauff has had a season full of ups and downs in 2025, and will now look to finish strong as she enters the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year.
The American kicked things off in January with her sixth campaign at the Australian Open, where she reached the quarterfinals before bowing out to Paula Badosa.
She struggled to go deep in tournaments until the clay swing, in which the 21-year-old produced by far the best work of the season.
After making back-to-back finals at the Madrid Open and the Italian Open, Gauff won her second major title at Roland Garros, overcoming world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the championship match.
Following the triumph in Paris, the young star has not been able to recapture her red-hot clay form in singles, but she found success in doubles on the hard courts of Montreal, winning the Canadian Open title alongside McCartney Kessler.
Gauff‘s achievements in 2025 so far have earned her trophies, ranking points, and, of course, incredible financial rewards.

According to Forbes, the highest-paid tennis player, man or woman, over the last 12 months, for the second straight year, is ATP number two Carlos Alcaraz.
The Spaniard has raked in an estimated $48.3 million, which has increased by $6 million compared to the previous year.
His rival, Jannik Sinner, has earned slightly less, at $47.3 million, but has tallied more than Alcaraz on the court, winning $20.3 million in tournament prize money.
Just behind the ‘new two’ of men’s tennis is Gauff, who is the third-highest-earning tennis player, and the highest-paid female athlete across all sports since August 2024.

In total, she has earned more money than 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, with $37.2 million, $25 million of which is from off the court.
The top three in the rankings are all under 30 years of age, which has occurred for the first time since 2010, when Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal topped the list.

When Gauff came out on top against Sabalenka in the French Open final earlier this season, she added a second major title to her collection and another $1.6 million to her bank account.
Forbes reported in June that her prize money for winning Roland Garros was initially around $2.95 million, but she was subject to a 45% tax bracket in France.
This chalked off $1.32 million from her earnings, before possibly paying additional taxes such as self-employment levies.
Alcaraz, who won the men’s tournament in Paris, was also awarded just under $3 million in prize money.
