Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek have been the two most successful players on the WTA Tour since 2020.
Sabalenka took over from Swiatek as world number one in October 2024, and has remained there ever since.
The Belarusian showcased her dominance at Indian Wells, where Sabalenka won the title after beating Elena Rybakina in the final, while Swiatek fell in the quarterfinals to Elina Svitolina.

Although Swiatek has dropped down to world number three in the WTA rankings after Indian Wells, she still has more overall titles than Sabalenka.
Swiatek has already won six Grand Slams at just 24 years old, which includes winning one on every surface.
This is different to Sabalenka, who has won all four of her majors on the hard courts at the Australian Open and the US Open.

Although Sabalenka’s best surface is clearly hard courts, she still has a worse record on the surface than Swiatek, who has won 79% of her matches on the surface.
Sabalenka has won six more titles on hard courts than Swiatek, who has won seven more clay court titles than her Belarusian rival, which includes four French Open victories.
Swiatek won Wimbledon last year, which was her first ever grass court title, despite having previously struggled on the surface.
Sabalenka is still yet to win a grass court title, having lost in two previous finals on the surface and she is yet to reach the Wimbledon final.
While Swiatek has clearly not been playing at the peak of her powers as of late, these statistics go to show that she is still a force to be reckoned with on every surface.
