Jack Draper is into the US Open quarter-finals, and will clash with Alex De Minaur tonight to see who will reach the semis.
It’s set to be a hotly-contested affair in what has been one of the most wide-open draws in recent memory, with Jannik Sinner the outstanding favourite, but so many plucky contenders having emerged too.
We are already guaranteed one American in the final when Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe play in one semi-final, whilst the other is yet to be determined.
What is certain is that Jack Draper has achieved something historic in New York, and it could lay the groundwork for a thoroughly successful career for the 22-year-old.

After all, his left-handedness and monster serve would provide an awkward encounter for anyone on the ATP tour, with stars like Stefanos Tsitsipas, Frances Tiafoe and even Carlos Alcaraz having fallen foul of his talents this year.
However, before the world number 25 returns to US Open action later tonight, he will likely want to comb through the plethora of glowing eulogies he has received for what he has already achieved.
Greg Rusedski, a former British number one himself, is one of many to chime in.

Having reached the quarter-finals of the US Open, whatever happens tonight will have no bearing on the history already made.
At this point, the pressure should be non-existent, because whatever he accomplishes now is simply an additional benefit to his sparkling run.
And, he has no reason to fear the Australian, even if he boasts a 3-0 record against Draper.
After all, his game has come on leaps and bounds in the last few months, turning from a plucky challenger with the tools to challenge most into a real contender for every event he enters.
With this form in the US Open, he is already guaranteed a career-best ranking, and has also already surpassed his finest-ever performance at a Grand Slam too.
Having overcome untold injury issues, 2025 promises to be a truly revolutionary one for Draper after the foundation set throughout this year.
