Tennis fans are set to be blessed with a remarkable summer of tennis, with the grass-court season well and truly underway now.

With competitions ongoing in Stuttgart, Rosmalen and Nottingham to name a few, there is a whole host of stars seeking to gain crucial rankings points and pick up form ahead of Wimbledon.

However, following that prestigious competition, we will then be blessed with the Paris Olympics, and a return to clay ahead of the US Open in late August.

It marks an odd change of surfaces to see out the season, but one which will lead to some truly stunning match-ups.

Great Britain confirm their player selection for the 2024 Paris Olympics

It seems like the Great British tennis team are planning to pull no punches with their efforts to win gold, as they have just today released their line-up for the event.

For the men’s singles, they will boast four players all of whom are capable of strong runs.

Andy Murray is the outstanding character, who enters through an ITF Wildcard, but it will be Jack Draper who their main hopes rely on.

Then, Dan Evans and Cameron Norrie make up the rest of the men’s singles selections.

On the women’s side, it is just Katie Boulter, with Emma Raducanu one huge omission from the squad.

That leaves the elite doubles pairing of Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski as one selection, and Murray and Evans as the other.

Meanwhile, for the women’s doubles, Boulter partners Heather Watson, whilst Harriet Dart joins up with Maia Lumsden.

A star-studded men’s lineup

Unsurprisingly, the attention will be dominated by that huge men’s selection.

After all, it sees former gold medalist Murray return to action after a turbulent 2024 laden with injuries and poor results, seeking to enjoy one last dance before his imminent retirement.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum, Draper is only just getting started, and with his performance this week in Stuttgart, he is now the new British number one.

Evans and Norrie have both endured troubled spells of form too of late, thus explaining their steady decline in the rankings, but they boast enough experience to cause problems.

Boulter, meanwhile, will likely hold up the women’s end quite comfortably on her own, such is her talent and form.
