Frances Tiafoe explained where he went wrong following his defeat to Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon.
The American gave his all but he just fell short in a thrilling match against the defending champion on Centre Court.
He took the Spaniard to five sets and at one moment was two points away from having a chance to serve for the match.
The 26-year-old thrives on playing on the biggest stage in front of sold-out arenas against the big names but his latest Wimbledon campaign has now come to a crashing end.

Tiafoe took the first set, before Alcaraz raised his level to claim set two of Friday’s epic contest.
The 21-year-old seemed to drop his level and Tiafoe pounced to retake the lead. Though it looked as though an upset may be on the cards, Alcaraz upped his aggression and stormed through the fourth set tiebreak.
He did not look back as Alcaraz went on to claim a 5-7 6-2 4-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 win and claim his tenth successive win at the All-England Club.
Reflecting on why he lost the match, Tiafoe said: “I was a little tentative in the ‘breaker. I wish I was swinging out on my shots a little more from the ground on the breaker. I thought I let him dictate a little too much.”

Tiafoe’s Wimbledon encounter with Alcaraz was the third meeting between the two players.
The American has now lost two of those three encounters, with the first coming in the semi-finals of the 2022 US Open.
Roared on by the home crowd, Tiafoe took Alcaraz to five sets, but once again the Spaniard prevailed and went on to defeat Casper Ruud in the final.
Tiafoe’s only victory over Alcaraz came at the Barcelona Open in 2021, which he claimed 6-4, 7-6(2).
