Novak Djokovic has done it again at Wimbledon and reached another semifinal to make it 14 last-four spots at the All England Club.

It’s been a remarkable career for Djokovic, and he’s showcasing the sort of form that might well see him finish with a record-equaling eighth title at Wimbledon.

Djokovic admitted to being surprised by Flavio Cobolli during his four-set quarterfinal victory, but the Serb came through with flying colours.

Nick Kyrgios has been impressed with Djokovic at this tournament and things look set up for a mouthwatering semifinal against Jannik Sinner.

Cobolli will learn from this experience, and perhaps what he’s done at Wimbledon this year will put him in good shape for the future.

Flavio Cobolli sends message to Novak Djokovic after losing to him at Wimbledon

On the ATP Tour, there is a lot of respect between the players and none more so than the gratitude shown between Cobolli and Djokovic here.

After the match, the Serbian player posted on Instagram, saying: “Huge respect Flavio Cobolli, great player, great future. As for me? Not done yet. Semifinals…”

Cobolli was clearly touched by the comments from the greatest player to have ever swung a tennis racket and respectfully replied.

He posted: “Thank you, Novak Djokovic. It has been an honour. See you all soon. Good luck.”

Djokovic faces Jannik Sinner in the last four, and that promises to be an entertaining affair after the pair played each other at the French Open last month.

Djokovic will crave one more Grand Slam title before he retires

In a sport as physically demanding as tennis, Djokovic will know that his days of winning serial Grand Slam titles are a thing of the past.

He’s not collected a major since the US Open in 2023, but with the player one away from number 25, he will be craving that particular milestone.

In order to win Wimbledon, he’s likely going to have to beat Sinner and then Carlos Alcaraz and he’s already beaten the Spaniard in a Grand Slam this year after his performance at the Australian Open.

Djokovic hasn’t truly been tested in the draw so far at this year’s Wimbledon, but that will change when he meets Sinner.

Given his prowess on the grass during his career, Djokovic will see this as a huge opportunity, and he will hope to get over the line and into a seventh consecutive Wimbledon final.
