Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova have hugely impressed at Wimbledon this year, and will now battle it out for a spot in the final.
Sabalenka admits Novak Djokovic has helped her return, with that skill in turn helping her enjoy a lengthy run at SW19.
The WTA number one is the top seed at Wimbledon, and now meets 13th seed Anisimova as she chases a maiden grass court Grand Slam title.
Anisimova is currently enjoying her best run in London, but enters her match with Belarusian ace Sabalenka as the underdog.
Sabalenka was told she played “horrendous tennis” despite beating Laura Siegemund in the quarter-finals, where Anisimova overcame Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Mark Petchey predicts Aryna Sabalenka vs Amanda Anisimova Wimbledon semifinal
But the WTA pair will now be fully focused on their next game, which has now been discussed by Emma Raducanu’s current coach Mark Petchey.
He said on the Grand Slam Daily podcast: “It’s kind of crazy that Anisimova led 5-2 going into Paris this year.
“Sabalenka got the better of her [there] in a tight two setter but Anisimova likes the rhythm that Sabalenka gets.
“I think on the flip side of that Sabalenka will enjoy the rhythm she is going to get from Anisimova who is one of the purest ball strikers out there.
“So completely different match up but that’s what makes winning these championships very difficult. Obviously with Sabalenka having been in this situation before, perhaps will just handle the big occasion better.”
Aryna Sabalenka vs Amanda Anisimova head-to-head before Wimbledon clash
It is certainly a rarity for players to boast a favourable head-to-head record over world number one Sabalenka.
But Anisimova has exactly that heading into their next clash, having won five of their eight meetings so far.
