Emma Raducanu is set for a busy summer of tennis starting with the French Open.

The 23-year-old was criticised for the lack of tennis she played at times last season, including missing the qualifiers for the clay-court Grand Slam and the Olympic Games.

But the Brit is now fit, sharp and is aiming to play more consistently on all surfaces in a bid to win more titles and claim up the WTA rankings.

Therefore, fans will be pleased to know that the 2021 US Open winner has added another tournament to her 2025 schedule following the French Open.

Emma Raducanu is set to compete at the 2025 Berlin Open

Emma Raducanu will end her clay court season by competing at Roland Garros for just the second time in her career.

She will then transition to the grass court season, one of Raducanu’s favourite portions of the tennis calendar.

The World number 43 will aim to be in peak shape heading into the Wimbledon Championships, her home Grand Slam.

To help boost her preparation for the Grand Slam event, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) posted on X that Raducanu has accepted a wildcard to compete at the Berlin Open.

The tournament will run from June 16-22 and Raducanu will head to Germany after playing at the new WTA Queen’s Club event the previous week.

This means that the former World number 10 will not compete at the Nottingham Open, which will take place in the same week as the Berlin Open.

Emma Raducanu will face a tough road to glory at the Berlin Open

Raducanu is set to compete at the Berlin Open, which has more ranking points and bigger prize money than her home tournament in Nottingham.

But with that comes greater challenges on court, as the Brit will be part of a strong field in Berlin that is set to include nine of the WTA’s top 10 players.

This will include the World number one Aryna Sabalenka and defending champion Jessica Pegula.

Like Raducanu, four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka has also been given a wildcard to compete.

The Japanese star entered the same event a year ago but lost in the opening round to Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng in three sets.
