Carlos Alcaraz has successfully defended his Wimbledon crown in stunning fashion against Novak Djokovic.
The Spaniard overcame the Serbian in straight sets at the All England Club, having also beaten Djokovic in last year’s final.
Alcaraz was ruthless on Centre Court, with the 21-year-old wasting no time in soaring into a two-set lead.
His opponent did produce some fight in the third set, forcing a tie-break, but Alcaraz eventually came out on top.
It represents the Spaniard’s fourth Grand Slam, with John McEnroe claiming Alcaraz is better aged 21 than Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Djokovic.

He has a long way to go to emulate their success, but the four-time Grand Slam winner is certainly heading in the right direction.
Alcaraz took to social media to celebrate his latest Wimbledon victory, writing on Instagram: “We’re still dreaming!”
A whole host of sporting stars have congratulated the Spaniard, with football legend David Beckham writing: “Congratulations my friend & good luck tonight,” in reference to the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England.
Juan Martin del Potro also reached out to the youngster, with the 2009 US Open champion saying: “Great champion.”
Plenty of other stars in and out of tennis also reacted to the post, including Billie Jean King, Hubert Hurkacz, Holger Rune and Neymar.

Alcaraz was simply unstoppable on Centre Court, with the Wimbledon crowd blown away by his display on the grass.
But Djokovic certainly wasn’t his usual Grand Slam final self, with the Serbian often emotionless, while he also made plenty of uncharacteristic errors.
The victor was, however, full of praise for his opponent despite the straightforward nature of the win, with Alcaraz saying it was ‘unbelievable’ how Djokovic recovered from surgery to make the final.
The recent meniscus surgery will have undoubtedly had an impact on Djokovic’s game, although his tactical approach did leave a lot to be desired.
Alcaraz is certain to celebrate the victory for some time, having only just lifted the French Open trophy last month.
