Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev share a close bond on and off the court, with the Russian duo close friends on tour.
But they haven’t had the same degree of success in recent times, with the latter undoubtedly outshining the former.
World number eight Rublev is 24 for 12 for wins and losses respectively in 2024, with world number five Medvedev on 33 for 10.
Rublev does, however, have two titles to his name this season, with Medvedev yet to taste success in 2024.
But the latter made it all the way to the semi-finals of the most recent major, with Medvedev losing out to Carlos Alcaraz in the final four of Wimbledon.

What does Daniil Medvedev want for Andrey Rublev after another shock defeat?
The former meanwhile suffered a shock first round exit, with Rublev suffering the same fate at the Swedish Open this week.
The number one seed at Bastad will be devastated by the defeat, with his fellow Russian Medvedev now sharing his hopes for Rublev after another setback.
When asked for their biggest wishes for each other for the ATP Tour, Medvedev told Rublev: “My biggest wish is for you to be more happy.”
Rublev responded: “Okay… I was wishing for you to win more Slams and to be world number one.”
Can Daniil Medvedev win another Grand Slam and climb up the rankings?
Medvedev reached the pinnacle of men’s tennis back in February 2022, when he was the top-ranked player in the world.
The Russian had just lifted the 2021 US Open trophy, but that title represents his only Grand Slam win to date.
The 28-year-old has, however, been very unfortunate over the years, with Medvedev losing his other five major finals.
His latest adventure at SW19 was brought to an end by defending champion Alcaraz, with Nick Kyrgios labelling the Wimbledon semi-final loss a ‘very tough day’ for Medvedev.
Alcaraz was ironically booed by the Wimbledon crowd after the match, with the Spaniard then going on to beat Novak Djokovic in the final.
