Daniil Medvedev improved his level on grass as the tour edges closer to the Wimbledon Championships.
Following a shock first round exit at the French Open, the Russian switched to grass and played his first match on the surface at the ATP Libema Open.
The 29-year-old reached the quarter-finals in the Netherlands, before heading to Germany for the Halle Open.
Daniil Medvedev has been impressive this week and has yet to drop a set on his run to the semi-finals.

Daniil Medvedev hits new milestone and is set for ranking change after reaching Halle Open semi-finals
Medvedev began his Halle Open campaign by defeating home favourite Daniel Altmaier in the opening round.
The former World number one then took on Quentin Halys and defeated him 6-2, 7-5, before facing America’s Alex Michelsen in Friday’s quarter-final.
Medvedev withstood the 20-year-old’s thunderous serve to seal a 6-4, 6-3 victory and reach the Halle semi-finals for the first time since 2022.

In the process, Medvedev recorded the 50th grass court win of his career and he will return to the ATP’s top 10 on Monday.
This is good news for Medvedev especially with Wimbledon set to take place in less than two weeks.
What is Daniil Medvedev’s Wimbledon record?
Medvedev has made six appearances at the Wimbledon Championships during his career.
During this time the 2021 US Open winner has registered 18 victories and suffered six defeats at SW19, which gives him a win percentage of 75%.

Before 2023, Medvedev failed to go beyond the fourth round on the grass courts at the All-England Club.
But he has now reached the last four in his last two appearances, before losing to eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz on both occasions.
Medvedev lost in straight sets in 2023 and though he claimed a set a year ago, Alcaraz still sealed a 6-7(1) 6-3 6-4 6-4 win.
