Dan Evans was left stunned by a shot played by his Belgian opponents at the Paris Olympics.
The 34-year-old and his partner Andy Murray are making a habit of pulling off the great escape as they saved match points for the second successive contest before sealing another sensational win.
They claimed a 6-4, 6-7, 11-9 win in front of the fans who erupted with delight on Court Suzanne Lenglen as the British pair jumped for joy.
Evans and Murray defeated Joran Vliegen and Sander Gillé, who certainly did not go down without a fight.
What was Dan Evans surprised at during his Paris Olympics second round match?
Evans was delighted to win the match and keep his and Murray’s chances of an Olympic medal alive. The pair jumped for joy as they won yet another close battle.
But post-match he expressed his surprise with a volley played by Vliegen and Gillé that hit the baseline and left the 34-year-old on his back as he unsuccessfully tried to chase it down.
“What happened again was incredible. We’re getting really close to doing something pretty special. We played great tonight,” Evans smiled.
“People see that, see how good we’ve been in tight moments, and we’re getting better and better. We played good tennis today, it wasn’t like that last match where we were a bit off and played good in parts.
“I thought we were unlucky not to win 7-6 in the second set, how that volley went in I still don’t know.”

Who will Dan Evans and Andy Murray play next?
Murray and Evans are into the men’s doubles Olympics quarterfinals and they will play either the American duo of Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul or Robin Hasse and Jean-Julien Rojer from the Netherlands.
They are just one step away from competing in the semi-finals, where they will have a chance to win a medal.
Murray was overcome with emotion after his latest and what could possibly be his final victory, and he is ready to give it his all once again.
“It’s unbelievably emotional. I mean you’re obviously unbelievably happy and then for whatever reason, I don’t know why it happens, it’s like happy tears,” Murray said.
“I don’t know why that’s the case but I was really emotional at the end of the match. Obviously I was extremely happy, excited that we managed to get through.”
