Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic, the two big favourites at Wimbledon this year, are both still in the draw after three rounds.
Reigning champion Sinner has had a shaky start to his title defence, having gone five sets with world number 50 Miomir Kecmanovic in his opener.
But the Italian has since steadied the ship, with straight-sets victories over Nuno Borges and Jenson Brooksby.
Djokovic, in pursuit of equalling Roger Federer‘s record of eight Wimbledon titles, has also been tested in the early stages of the tournament, particularly rounds one and three against Wu Yibing and Arthur Rinderknech, respectively.
How would you rate Novak Djokovic’s chances of winning Wimbledon?
The two stars are on a semifinal collision course, but regardless of who emerges victorious in that potential final-four clash, Dan Evans thinks the Wimbledon champion will come out of the draw’s bottom half.

Dan Evans reveals his pick for the men’s singles Wimbledon champion
Asked who he thinks will be the men’s singles Wimbledon champion on ‘The Beyond Tennis Podcast‘, Evans replied: “Taylor Fritz.
“Great serve, great returner of the ball. He looks, and he won’t mind me saying, terrible when he returns.
“He’s everywhere, legs everywhere, hair everywhere. Head is everywhere but when the ball hits his racket, it rarely goes anywhere but the final third of the court.
“And he had a chance [last year]. I think he had a forehand in the semifinals to go five sets with Carlos Alcaraz. And he’s been in the final of the US Open. He’s got a pedigree.”
What is preventing Taylor Fritz from winning a Grand Slam?
Taylor Fritz, seeded sixth at Wimbledon this year, made the semifinals of the Championships at last year’s edition.
He faced Carlos Alcaraz in the final four and was agonisingly close to forcing a fifth set against the Spaniard, but couldn not get over the line.
Fritz is the only American man since 2009 to reach a Grand Slam singles final, having done so at the 2024 US Open, where he lost to Sinner.

Taylor Fritz’s 2026 Wimbledon campaign so far
In his pursuit of returning to the Wimbledon semifinals, Fritz has barely put a foot wrong so far.
He was scheduled to face Jack Draper in the first round, but ended up playing Dusan Lajovic after the Briton withdrew from the tournament due to injury.
Fritz beat Lajovic in straight sets, and did the same to US compatriot Patrick Kypson in the second round.
He will now face Lorenzo Sonego in round three, against whom he is on a four-match winning streak.
Fritz is on the bottom half of the draw, which has looked wide open since Djokovic and Sinner were placed on the opposite half.
Should he go all the way in SW19, he will become the first American man to win a singles Grand Slam since Andy Roddick in 2003.
