Andy Murray will be back on court in a couple of hours and he’s delivered an exciting six-word message on his Instagram.

The three-time Grand Slam winner will face Benoit Paire in the last 32 of the Open Sud de France in Montpellier.

So, what has Murray said ahead of his first match since the Australian Open? Let’s take a closer look…

What Andy Murray has said on Instagram ahead of Montpellier match

It proved a disappointing tournament for Murray in Melbourne as he lost in the first round to Tomas-Martin Etcheverry.

These days, however, Murray is striving for top fitness and getting the most out of his game after a career-altering hip injury.

Ahead of his match this evening, it would appear that Murray is still leaving no stone unturned in his quest to continue his career.

His post on Instagram was about his serve and it would appear that he might be about to turn back to the clock.

Earlier today, he posted: “My old serve is coming back.”

Murray will hope to kick on after Australian Open setback

In fairness to Murray, he was blown away by an opponent in exceptional form at the first Grand Slam of the season.

He won’t dwell on that too much and will hope for a strong performance in the latest ATP event starting this evening.

Murray has played Paire three times and been victorious on each occasion, with the last meeting coming at Queens Club in 2021.

The 36-year-old is the fifth seed at the event and he will hope to have a good run and get some important match practice under his belt.

With the season in its very early stages, there is still a lot for Murray to play for and his comments earlier will make tonight’s match a fascinating one.

With his old serve coming back into force, it will be interesting to see how he can perform against Paire in Montpellier.
