Coco Gauff has been drawn to start her pursuit of a maiden Wimbledon singles title against Dayana Yastremska, so here is her possible route into the 2025 final in SW19.

The All England Lawn Tennis Club held the draw for the 2025 edition and the 138th running of Wimbledon this Friday, June 27 ahead of the tournament starting on Monday 30. Gauff is so far still to progress beyond the fourth round, having fallen there in 2019, 2021 and 2024.

Wimbledon would be the third Grand Slam title of Gauff’s career, after the 21-year-old won the 2025 French Open to add to her 2023 US Open title, should the American go all the way in south west London this month. Emma Navarro beat Gauff 6-4, 6-3 at Wimbledon in 2024.

Todd Woodbridge has backed Mirra Andreeva to win Wimbledon ahead of Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka this year. The Delray Beach, Florida native also heads to SW19 hot off the back of losing 6-3, 6-3 to Wang Xinyu in the round of 16 at the Grass Court Championship Berlin.

Wang dealt Gauff her first defeat on grass in 2025, which she will now try to avenge against Yastremska in the first round at Wimbledon. It marks the third time in their careers that the American and Ukrainian have met, with Gauff holding a perfect 3-0 record over Yastremska.

Should Gauff make it four wins to zero over Yastremska, then Victoria Azarenka or Anastasia Zakharova will await in the second round at Wimbledon. The first round draw in 2025 later feeds Gauff a potential tie with Sofia Kenin or Liudmila Samsonova on her route to the final.

The quarter-final stage of Gauff’s potential route to the 2025 Wimbledon women’s final will mark the start of a tricky run including a potential clash against Iga Swiatek. But the 24-year-old Pole will have to match her career-best Wimbledon run from 2023 to reach the quarters.

As Gauff is the number two seed for Wimbledon in 2025, she will feature in the second half of the draw while #1 seed Sabalenka headlines the first half. Defending Wimbledon singles champion Barbora Krejcikova is on Gauff’s side and will begin her defence against Alex Eala.
