The main draw for the 137th edition of the Wimbledon Championships has just been announced, and there are a number of American players taking part.

No American player has won a Wimbledon singles title since Serena Williams lifted her seventh in 2016, but that could all change in two weeks’ time.

On the women’s side, Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula appear most likely to end their nation’s winless streak.

As for the men, Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton are all capable of reaching the latter stages of this year’s tournament.

Before they can dream about lifting the trophy, however, they must come through their opening matches unscathed.

The Tennis Gazette has provided a full list of every American singles player’s first-round match at Wimbledon 2024.

Novak Djokovic’s first-round match at Wimbledon 2024

KOPRIVA, Vit vs DJOKOVIC, Novak

Djokovic was not guaranteed to be playing at Wimbledon 2024 after he suffered a meniscus injury at the French Open, though he seems to have recovered just in time. Now, if the 24-time Grand Slam champion wants to add to his tally, he is expected to face the likes of Holger Rune (round of 16), Alex de Minaur (quarter-final) and Zverev (semi-final) on his way to the final.
