Coco Gauff is among the tennis stars reaching out to Andy Murray following his retirement from the sport.
The Scot has decided to hang up his racket following his Olympics exit, with Rafael Nadal messaging Murray after his retirement.
Carlos Alcaraz also reacted to Murray’s retirement, with the Briton having exited the iconic event in the men’s doubles quarter-finals.
Murray and compatriot Dan Evans enjoyed a superb run in Paris, but it was brought to an end by Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.
The American duo then lost to John Peers and Matthew Ebden in the semi-finals, with the Australians going on to clinch gold.

Coco Gauff sends Andy Murray message after his retirement
American star Gauff had no such luck, with the 20-year-old having competed in the singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
But despite her disappointment across all three events, she has taken time to congratulate Murray on his fantastic career.
Tagging the Scot on Instagram, Gauff wrote on her story: “Legend of the game, congratulations on an amazing career. Thank you.”
What happened to Coco Gauff at the Olympics?
Murray was unfortunately unable to play singles at the Olympics given his injury issues, but fortunately was able to enjoy a lengthy men’s doubles journey.
The three-time Grand Slam champion partnered superbly with Evans in Paris, with the latter deserving plenty of credit for his decision to play at the competition.
He will drop more than 110 ranking spots due to that decision, and will drop to outside the top 170 in the world rankings.
But while Evans will be glad he sacrificed the points, Gauff will not look back on her Olympics appearance very fondly.
There was plenty of expectation on her young shoulders, but the 2023 US Open champion fell in the third round of the women’s singles.
A second round exit was then suffered in the women’s doubles, with Gauff then losing in the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles.
