Coco Gauff will be a woman on a mission in 2025 if she has anything to do with it.
The WTA Finals winner enjoyed a successful end to the year and the challenge in 2025 will be to win more Grand Slam titles.
Gauff is one of the game’s most influential figures and she’s a role model to women across the globe with her work on and off the tennis court.
Rennae Stubbs recently shared whether or not she thought Gauff would win the Australian Open and it will certainly be in her sights.
Tennis fans were shocked last week when Gauff admitted she’d already started preparing for 2025 with a series of practice sessions.
Still only 20, Gauff burst onto the scene as a 15-year-old when she defeated Venus Williams aged just 15 and she hasn’t looked back.

Rick Macci thinks Gauff is doing something that no player has done since Venus Williams
The Hall of Fame tennis coach has been discussing Gauff and it’s clear that he’s a huge fan of the American star.
He thinks she’s now added a string to her bow that makes her very similar to Venus Williams – and certainly the best in one respect since the older of the Williams sisters was playing.
He posted on X: “Coco the human Loco is so bullet fast and quick even if she hits a short reply with her forehand her makeup speed to live another day and stay alive is like the WTA has not seen since the original Compton Comet Venus.”
Macci has also shared what Gauff can do to get even closer to emulating Venus by adding another shot to her game.
He continued: “If her serve is changed biomechanically and also going to a platform stance it would jolt the muscle memory. The second serve no doubt would flip from a liability to an asset and launch the Delray Dart to number one and most of all have the stability to stay there.”
Gauff can use Venus Williams as a role model
The achievements of Venus might pale into the background of her sister Serena but she’d be a great role model for Gauff.
At 20, there will be many more big titles to come for the American and she does have a similar skillset to that of Williams.
Venus won seven Grand Slam titles and perhaps there is an argument that she should have won more when it came to her singles career.
Gauff won’t want to hold similar regrets and the challenge in the next few years for Gauff will be to finally live up to the hype.
