Chris Evert made a bold prediction regarding how many times Iga Swiatek can win the French Open.
The American has won the clay court Grand Slam more times than any other woman with seven, and the Pole has now triumphed in Paris on four occasions.
The 23-year-old claimed her third successive title at the event after defeating first time major finalist Jasmine Paolini in yet another ruthless performance on the dirt.
The 6-2, 6-1 victory makes her just the third player to win the French Open for three successive seasons. After almost going out in the second round to Naomi Osaka, Swiatek knuckled down and tore through the rest of the field to lift the fifth Grand Slam trophy of her career.
Chris Evert guesses how many times Iga Swiatek can win Roland Garros
For the fourth time in five years Swiatek triumphed on court Philippe Chatrier and once again proved how dominant she is on the clay.
The Pole also became the second player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win the Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros titles in the same season.
Given her success on the clay and the convincing nature of her match wins, Evert expects the World number one to continue to add to her French Open legacy in a major way.
“There’s no question in my mind that she will match me and even win more than I did,” the 69-year-old told Eurosport. “She’s still young. I think Iga Świątek will end up with double digits.”

What were Iga Swiatek’s clay court results in 2024?
Following a round of 16 defeat at the Miami Open, Swiatek began her clay court season at the Stuttgart Open in April.
She was beaten by Elena Rybakina in the semi-finals and from there she did not suffer another defeat on the surface.
Swiatek claimed the Madrid Open for the first time after winning an epic final against Aryna Sabalenka in what has been regarded as arguably the match of the year so far.
The player was more dominant in Rome as she stormed to the title without dropping a set, and once again defeated Sabalenka in the championship match.
After saving a match point against Osaka in round two at Roland Garros, Swiatek conceded just 17 games in the following five matches to storm to another French Open title.
