Carlos Alcaraz is enjoying yet another successful season, having added five more titles to his name in 2025, including a second consecutive Roland Garros crown.
He came close to making it six at Wimbledon, and was just two sets away from becoming the fifth man in history to three-peat at the championships, but ultimately his rival Jannik Sinner denied him the feat.
The Spaniard remains the world number two, although he will have the chance to close the gap on Sinner at the top during the North American hard-court swing, in which he suffered a dip in form last year.
Still just 22 years old, Alcaraz will only continue to get better as time goes on, and Hall of Fame coach Rick Macci thinks there’s one shot he should be experimenting with in his game to get to the next level.

Rick Macci says where Carlos Alcaraz should be experimenting
Macci has trained five number-one ranked players in his career: Andy Roddick, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova and Jennifer Capriati.
He took to X to say of Alcaraz: “Carlos’ serve has more juice. Percentage sometimes is up [and] down. Needs free lunches to set the table and eat.
“Should experiment with a platform stance to have less movement and see if that facilitates a better angle of descent over the net.
“Greatness always tweaks on off week and then speaks. @carlosalcaraz”
