Carlos Alcaraz reacts to his win over Grigor Dimitrov
Alcaraz wrapped up his clash with Dimitrov in just over an hour, and seemed happy with his performance in his post-match press conference.
“Well, I think I played great. The conditions weren’t easy. A lot of wind today,” said the seven-time major champion.
“But I would say just that my game was much better than him playing well, not making so many mistakes.
“That, I think, helped a lot today, which I’m really, really happy just that I was able to do every goal that I set up before the match. So just happy to get it in straight sets.”
Alcaraz is seeded first at this year’s Indian Wells Open and is the heavy favourite to win the tournament.
