Team World clinched their third Laver Cup in four years after sealing the title on day three of the event, winning 15-9.
Taylor Fritz won the decisive tie against Alexander Zverev to lead his side to victory and become the first player in history to claim multiple top-five wins in a single edition of the tournament.
His first such triumph came against the world number one, with Fritz beating Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets on the second day of the Laver Cup.
Alcaraz bounced back from his defeat on day three, securing six points for Team Europe by winning his singles and doubles matches, but ultimately it was not enough to see his side through.

After the defeat, the Spaniard took to social media to send a message to Team World.
In a post on Instagram, Alcaraz said: “We fought until the very end, but it wasn’t meant to be!
“Congrats to Team World on winning the Laver Cup in San Francisco! Despite everything, it’s been an amazing week together as a team!”
Alcaraz won three of his four matches at the event, winning his doubles ties with Jakub Mensik and Casper Ruud, and dominating Francisco Cerundolo in his second singles match.

After a busy and successful two months in America, the US Open champion will now travel to Japan to get his Asian swing underway.
The next tournament he will appear at will be the Japan Open in Tokyo, where Arthur Fils is the current champion, but the Frenchman will not compete at the event this year.
Alcaraz will have a favourable path to the title there, though he is on a collision course with Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinals.
Should he reach the final, he could also potentially meet Fritz once again in a Laver Cup rematch.
