Carlos Alcaraz clinched his fourth ATP Tour-level title of the season with his China Open final win over Jannik Sinner.
Boris Becker loved the ‘unbelievable’ China Open final, where Alcaraz defeated Sinner 6-7(6-8), 6-4, 7-6(7-3).
The longest match in China Open history took almost three-and-a-half hours, with the two top seeds producing thrilling end-to-end tennis.
Sinner has congratulated Alcaraz on his win, with the latter taking his head-to-head record to 6-4 over the former with the success.
The Spaniard’s victory ensures the duo continue their dominance in 2024, with Alcaraz’s four titles behind Sinner’s six.

Significantly, the four major trophies went their way, with Sinner winning the Australian Open and US Open, and Alcaraz winning the French Open and Wimbledon.
As quoted by the ATP Tour website, the Spanish star has now shared insight into his latest success, with Alcaraz saying: “During the whole week I’ve been playing great tennis.
“Probably sometimes the luck went to my side a little bit in the matches. But in general I feel great on court, I feel great off the court as well with my team.
“It’s really important to feel like you are in a good mood all the time off the court, just try to show good tennis and be calm on the court. I think I couldn’t ask for a better week here in Beijing and I will try to keep going.”

China Open fans really were treated to a special encounter between Sinner and Alcaraz, who constantly traded blows in the capital.
The Spaniard has now won all three of their meetings this season, although the Italian will undoubtedly have plenty of chances to enact revenge in the near future.
The likes of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal having once dominated men’s tennis, but this is now the Sinner and Alcaraz era.
Djokovic will, however, be keen to stay in the debate for as long as possible, with the Serbian able to do that in Shanghai this month.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion is among the high-profile names taking part in the Shanghai Masters, along with Sinner, Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.
