Carlos Alcaraz has stated the player he thinks does not quite get enough credit on the ATP Tour.
The Spaniard has competed against the very best players on the circuit and he is very much looking forward to continuing to test himself against the fiercest competition.
He is doing an excellent job at the moment after claiming the Wimbledon title just weeks after winning the French Open for the first time.
Alcaraz will aim for more success when he heads back to Roland Garros to compete in the Paris Olympic Games and try and win his first medal.
Who does Carlos Alcaraz think is the ATP’s most underrated player?
Of the many talented players on the ATP Tour, Alcaraz thinks Australia’s Alex de Minaur is the most underrated, which he said in a video posted on the ATP Tour’s social media accounts.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed an impressive 2024 season in which he is at a career-high ranking of six.
He successfully defended his Acapulco title and achieved his best results at the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
De Minaur and Alcaraz have played one another just twice on the ATP Tour so far, with the Spaniard winning both encounters.

Is Alex de Minaur injured?
De Minaur reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time in his career where he was due to face Novak Djokovic.
But he suffered an injury against Arthur Fils in the previous round and was unable to compete against the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
De Minaur announced his withdrawal from Wimbledon, which meant Djokovic progressed to the semi-finals without hitting a ball.
“Obviously not an announcement I wanted to make by any means,” De Minaur said at the time. “I’m devastated but have had to pull out due to a hip injury.
“I felt a loud crack during the last three points of my match against Fils and got a scan yesterday. It confirmed this was the injury and with high risk of making it worse if I was to step on court.”
