Carlos Alcaraz has named who he thinks is the greatest of all time out of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
The Spaniard grew up watching those three players in their prime raising the standard of the sport to heights that had not yet been seen in the game.
Federer, Nadal and Djokovic hold a combined 66 Grand Slam titles and pushed each other to raise their levels of play over a number of years.
As a result, fans and members of the media alike have debated who they believe is the top player from the three, but now the French Open and Wimbledon champion has had his say.
Who does Carlos Alcaraz think is the greatest male tennis player of all time?
Alcaraz shared his opinion on the greatest of all time during a video posted on the ATP Tour’s social media accounts.
Pausing before giving his answer, Alcaraz said: “As far as numbers go, Djokovic without a doubt. The other 2 Federer & Rafa, for me they’re tops.”
The trio of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have been dubbed by many as ‘The Big 3’ given their achievements and rivalries with one another.
Federer has now retired, while Nadal is still battling away in what may be his final season on the ATP tour.
Djokovic meanwhile, is still competing for the biggest titles and he remains a top two player in the world as he goes in search of a 25th Grand Slam.

Alcaraz has enjoyed some special matches against members of the ‘Big 3’.
He was unable to play against Federer who retired from tennis at the 2022 Laver Cup, but he has contested three matches against Nadal.
The elder Spaniard won their matches at Indian Wells in 2022 and Madrid in 2021, while Alcaraz climbed their last meeting in the Spanish capital in 2022.
Against Djokovic, Alcaraz has developed a compelling and entertaining rivalry. They have three wins apiece against each other.
Their most recent match up came in the 2024 Wimbledon final, where Alcaraz beat Djokovic straight sets to win his second successive title at SW19.
