Novak Djokovic has taken a somewhat lateral step in his bid for further Grand Slam success by hiring Murray as his new coach.
Murray will work with Djokovic at the Australian Open, with the pair set to combine in the off-season ahead of the major tournament.
Djokovic and Murray had a mutual respect on the court, which is set to be a key factor to any success they may achieve in their current relationship.
The former is currently on a record 24 Grand Slam titles, with the latter having won three before retiring in August.
Murray turned to golf shortly after his retirement, but has now made the switch back to tennis as he bids to help out his former rival.

What is the head-to-head record between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz?
Regardless of how the pairing goes, Alcaraz is correct in that the tennis world will undoubtedly enjoy Murray and Djokovic together.
The duo were rivals on the court for several years, but must now use all of their combined experience to help further the career honors of the latter.
With 24 Grand Slam titles β more than any other man and level with Margaret Court β Djokovic asking for help may seem futile.

But the 37-year-old clearly feels there are things he can learn from Murray, who will be desperate to enjoy a successful return to the court.
The Scot will, however, need to put his grudges aside when they link up, with Djokovic boasting a 25-11 win-loss record over Murray.
It is a much tighter situation when it comes to the latter and Alcaraz, with the veteran narrowly leading the 21-year-old by four wins to three.
