Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have proven that they do not see eye-to-eye on absolutely everything.
Alcaraz was beaten by Sinner in the final of the ATP Finals, with the Spaniard clearly struggling with a foot problem that has forced him to withdraw from the Davis Cup Finals.
Despite being the two best players in men’s tennis by some distance, Alcaraz and Sinner do appear to have a good friendship.
However, they have differed in opinions when picking the best serve out of Ben Shelton and Alexander Zverev.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner pick who has the best serve out of Ben Shelton and Alexander Zverev
Zverev and Shelton have some of the biggest serves on the ATP Tour, and particularly of the players who were competing at the ATP Finals this year.
Prior to the tournament getting underway, five of the players competing at the ATP Finals this year were asked to build their perfect player from the players competing in Turin this year.
They were first asked to pick the player who they think has the best serve, which Sinner started by selecting Shelton.
Alcaraz was next to choose, but he actually disagreed with Sinner and chose world number three Zverev.
Sinner was in the majority of players picking the best server, with Taylor Fritz picking Shelton, who also picked himself.
The only player to agree with Alcaraz was Alex de Minaur, who also picked Zverev as the best server from the lineup.
| Player they picked as having the best serve from the ATP Finals lineup | |
| Carlos Alcaraz | Alexander Zverev |
| Jannik Sinner | Ben Shelton |
| Taylor Fritz | Ben Shelton |
| Ben Shelton | Ben Shelton |
| Alex de Minaur | Alexander Zverev |
Despite being picked as the two best serves, Zverev and Shelton did not perform particularly well at the ATP Finals this year.
What did Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner say they would take from each other’s games?
There were still many more attributes to be assigned by Alcaraz and Sinner, including choosing both each other and themselves.
Is Jannik Sinner currently the best player in the world?
This is where they agreed, as they both picked Alcaraz as the player who has the best forehand from those competing at the ATP Finals.
Alcaraz has previously claimed that Sinner has the best backhand, and he did so once again in this game.
However, after continually avoiding choosing himself, Sinner eventually ran out of options and picked himself as the player who plays the points best under pressure.
Sinner showcased this ability very well throughout the ATP Finals, particularly in the final against Alcaraz.
Although that has not enabled him to top the rankings at the end of this year, Sinner knows when he can return to world number one now.
