Carlos Alcaraz continues to emulate Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic with his world number one ranking.

Alcaraz has just entered his 60th career week as the ATP number one, arriving after he won the Qatar Open title in Doha.

The ATP Tour is being dominated by Alcaraz at this moment in time, with the Spaniard having also recently won the Australian Open title.

He completed the career Grand Slam in Melbourne, again following in the footsteps of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, the legendary Big Three of men’s tennis.

But just as he outmatched the trio by becoming the youngest Grand Slam champion, he’s now done the same with his latest rankings milestone.

How do you feel about Carlos Alcaraz’s dominance of men’s tennis right now?

Is it at risk of making the men's game boring?

Carlos Alcaraz beats Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic to ATP milestone

Aged 22, Alcaraz is younger than Federer, Nadal and Djokovic were when they reached 60 weeks as world number one.

Federer achieved the feat at the age of 23, as did Alcaraz’s current rival Jannik Sinner, while Nadal and Djokovic were 24 and 25 respectively.

Alcaraz is also ahead of American icons Pete Sampras and Jimmy Connors, who were both 23, while Andre Agassi was 29.

The Spanish superstar is, however, behind Lleyton Hewitt, who reached 60 weeks at world number one when he was just 21.

Who will retire with more Grand Slam titles – Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic?

Let us know why in the comments!

Carlos Alcaraz becomes 13th ATP player with 60 weeks as No.1

Alcaraz has now joined an exclusive group following his latest achievement, becoming the 13th player to reach 60 weeks as world number one.

It’s a phenomenal record at such a young age, and one that he is set to rapidly improve upon should he continue on his current trajectory.

While that won’t be at the very top of his list of priorities, he may just be motivated by the idea of overtaking Sinner, who has spent 66 weeks in the position.

Highlighting his fantastic efforts is the fact that many tennis legends failed to reach the number he has just hit.

ATP icons Jim Courier, Andy Murray, Mats Wilander, Boris Becker and Andy Roddick all fell short in that regard.

With Alcaraz next playing at Indian Wells, his ATP rivals now have a great chance to gain ranking points at the tournaments before then, but it’s fair to say the Spaniard is safe at the top of the pile.

He is currently on 13,550 after earning 400 points at the Qatar Open, with Sinner his closest rival on 10,400 after his quarterfinal exit, for which he earned 100 points.
