Sebastian Korda clinched the third ATP title of his career after winning the Delray Beach Open on Sunday.

Korda defeated compatriot Tommy Paul in the final of the ATP 250 event, following an incredibly impressive run.

The 25-year-old American star overcame Alex Michelsen, Casper Ruud and Flavio Cobolli en route to the final, before beating Paul in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

Boris Becker praises Sebastian Korda on social media

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Becker said: “I hope Seb stays injury-free for [a] longer period!

“He is [a] top 15 player in my opinion!”

Korda suffered a stress fracture in his right shin after Roland Garros last year, with the setback keeping him sidelined for two and a half months.

He returned at the Winston-Salem Open in August, where he made the semifinals, but Korda withdrew from the tournament before the final four showdown with Marton Fucsovics.

At the US Open later that summer, he was forced to retire from his first-round match at the US Open with Cameron Norrie due to injury.

Since then, Korda has stayed relatively healthy, having played 12 tour-level competitions, as well as a Challenger event, without retirement or withdrawal.

Sebastian Korda’s results so far this season

Korda’s first tournament appearance of 2026 was at the Brisbane International, where he made the quarterfinals.

The US star then suffered back-to-back first-round exits at the Adelaide International and the Australian Open.

He bounced back at a Challenger Tour event in San Diego, finishing as the runner-up there after losing to countryman Zachary Svajda in the final.

Korda stayed in the US during February and enjoyed a quarterfinal finish at the Dallas Open, which featured a victory over Frances Tiafoe.

In his triumphant campaign at the Delray Beach Open, Korda dropped just one set.
