Boris Becker has been left feeling really inspired by Novak Djokovic after he battled into the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
Djokovic met Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam in London, and triumphed after five hours and 15 minutes.
It represents the longest Wimbledon quarter-final ever, with the Serbian’s victory setting up a semi-final clash with ATP number one Jannik Sinner.
Before that match at the All England Club, Djokovic has just received a message from tennis legend Becker, who won Wimbledon three times during his stellar career.
Where does that match rank among the best of Novak Djokovic’s career?
It was the longest Wimbledon quarterfinal in history…

After edging past Auger-Aliassime in an epic encounter, Djokovic posted on social media: “My longest Wimbledon match ever.
“An unforgettable night shift.”
And sharing the words, Becker posted on X: “You’re an inspiration for all the slightly older men out there!
“Keep your dream alive and make the impossible possible.”
Djokovic’s dream currently involves the pursuit of an eighth Wimbledon title and a record 25th Grand Slam title.
But he may also have revenge on his mind after what happened in his meeting with Sinner at Wimbledon in 2025.

Fittingly, Djokovic was drawn against the Italian at the same stage of the tournament in 2025, when Sinner was once again the top seed.
And it was the Italian who emerged victorious at the All England Club back then, winning their semi-final 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.
Sinner went on to defeat Carlos Alcaraz in the final to lift the trophy, claiming his maiden title at Wimbledon.
Whether or not he can pull off the upset remains to be seen, but he certainly deserves huge credit for making it this far once again.
