Looking to win her first title of the year, Mboko could be one to look out for at Indian Wells…

Who will Victoria Mboko play at Indian Wells?

As a seeded player, Mboko receives a BYE into round two.

There, she will play either Kimberly Birrell or Oksana Selekhmeteva.

Expected to win that match, she could then meet Russia’s Anna Kalinskaya in the third round, and Emma Raducanu or Amanda Anisimova in the last 16.

If she were to reach the quarterfinals, she may face world number one Sabalenka.

Sabalenka finished as runner-up at Indian Wells a year ago and will be determined to lift the trophy this time around.

The Belarusian and Canadian have met once before.

On that occasion, Sabalenka defeated Mboko in straight sets.

Only time will tell if Mboko will have an opportunity to get revenge in California.

First, Mboko will prepare to play either Birrell or Selekhemteva in the second round.
