Look ahead to day six of the 2024 ATP Finals with The Tennis Gazette as we dive into the full order of play and how to watch live as Alexander Zverev faces Carlos Alcaraz.
The John Newcombe Group reaches a conclusion on day six of the 2024 ATP Finals. Zverev is so far dominating the group with wins against Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud on day two and four respectively. But the German will have his toughest test yet when he meets Alcaraz.
World No3 Alcaraz knows he must beat No2 Zverev to stand the best chance of reaching the semi-finals. The Spaniard suffered an early setback when Ruud beat Alcaraz 6-1, 7-5 to start their ATP Finals campaigns. So, Ruud holds a head-to-head tiebreaker if their records match.

No8 Rublev would do Alcaraz a huge favour if the Russian can claim his first win at the 2024 ATP Finals against Ruud on day six. As well as opening a door for Alcaraz to jump Ruud with a win over Zverev, it would reduce the Norwegian’s games won-lost record and percentage.

Zverev heads the John Newcombe Group with the sole 2-0 record, only 4-0 sets won-lost record, the best games won-lost record (25-17) and games won per cent (59.52). Ruud and Alcaraz are tied for matches and sets won but differ in games won at 22-19 and 19-22 so far.
So, with that in mind, The Tennis Gazette takes a look at the full order of play for day six of the 2024 ATP Finals and how fans in America can watch every match from Turin live on TV…

Alexander Zverev vs Carlos Alcaraz head-to-head record
The 2024 ATP Finals has returned the 11th career meeting between Zverev and Alcaraz, who currently boast five wins each against one another. But crucially for their respective hopes in Turin, two of Zverev’s five wins over Alcaraz to date have also arrived on indoor hard courts.
Alcaraz is still to beat Zverev on an indoor hard court, which could prove costly in the 2024 Wimbledon and French Open champion’s quest to win his first ATP Finals title. The Alicante native has so far only beaten the Hamburg native on outdoor clay (3) and outdoor hard (2).

Ruud knows a win over the winless Rublev on day six of the 2024 ATP Finals will ensure the Norwegian advances to the semi-finals. He can also look positively at a disappointing head-to-head record as Ruud’s two previous wins against Zverev were also on indoor hard courts.
What’s more, Ruud’s sole previous wins over Zverev were also at the ATP Finals in 2021 and 2022. The Russian is even yet to beat the Oslo native on an indoor hard court, with his wins in their head-to-head record so far coming on outdoor hard (1) and outdoor clay (4) courts.
