Aryna Sabalenka has shared what she’d really love to happen at Roland Garros next month.
The Belarussian player was in action yesterday as she lost to Iga Swiatek in the Italian Open final.
The world numbers one and two clashed again in Rome, with the Polish performer coming out on top.
Sabalenka was second best during the contest but afterwards, she’s explained what she’d love to happen at Roland Garros.

In fairness, this was a complete mismatch yesterday as Swiatek simply swept Sabalenka aside.
The world number one claimed a two sets to love victory by winning 6-2, 6-3 to win the top prize.
Despite a heavy defeat, it would appear as though Sabalenka already has a revenge mission in her sights ahead of Roland Garros.
After losing to Swiatek she told the Polish player that she’s already hoping to meet her rival in the final of the French Open.
She said: “This time I’m not gonna forget, I’m gonna start with Iga.
“Congrats on an incredible couple of weeks.
“I hope we’re going to make it to the final of Roland Garros and I’m going to get you there. Just kidding. At least I will try to do better than today.”
Sabalenka must dust herself off before the French Open
This was an extremely uncharacteristic performance from Sabalenka who had been enjoying a good year.
The 26-year-old won the first Grand Slam of the year when she came through at the Australian Open.
Sabalenka will have her eyes on more prizes now but she will need to bounce back from this setback pretty quickly.
Her comments yesterday were perhaps a little bit tongue in cheek but it’s the sign of a good champion that she wants to bounce back quickly.
Sabalenka will need to achieve a career-best run at Roland Garros if she’s to set up a final berth in Paris.
Her best run on the clay Grand Slam was the semi-final last year and clearly, she wants to go all the way this time.
