Aryna Sabalenka recalled her experience meeting Andre Agassi in Las Vegas.

The World number one is currently at the Indian Wells Masters trying to win her second title of the season.

But before she headed to California, Sabalenka was in Las Vegas playing Naomi Osaka at the MGM Rewards Slam exhibition event.

While there she met the eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi, who she had some productive conversations with.

What did Aryna Sabalenka say about meeting Andre Agassi in Las Vegas?

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Osaka 6-4, 6-4 to win the exhibition match, but this was not the only positive thing that the Belarusian experienced in Las Vegas.

She was able to spend some time with Andre Agassi, who is from Las Vegas and attended the MGM Rewards Slam, just as he was present at the 2024 Netflix Slam when Carlos Alcaraz played Rafael Nadal.

During her time there Sabalenka revealed she received some advice from Agassi and also practiced with him, and his performance left her surprised.

“We actually had a great chat after the exhibition. He gave me his advice on tennis which is actually working so thank you Andre,” she told tennis Channel.

“He’s such a nice guy and his timing and his tennis is still really good. I was really impressed by his timing and he was like ‘oh I’m not training that much I’m not playing tennis.’

“Then he serves and his serve is better than mine in terms of timing and I was like ‘okay I think we’re doing something wrong.’ But it was fun playing that exhibition and especially with Andre, it was fun.”

What did Andre Agassi say about Aryna Sabalenka’s game?

Agassi had the chance to watch Sabalenka up close when she took on Osaka in Las Vegas.

The World number is one of the most powerful ball-strikers in the game and she has added a new element to her game with her drops shots and touch around the net.

At the MGM Rewards Slam, Agassi critiqued the three-time Grand Slam champion’s game and mentioned one thing that she can improve.

“Aryna, the power she can hit the ball is remarkable. The backhand is very solid, the forehand a bomb,” he said.

“I think she swings at it 100% and that is a great thing to watch but an unnecessary thing to do because her 85% would get even better direction and would be incredibly effective still.

“Her serve, she has changed her toss and put it down a lot, this year it looks like it has crept back up a bit. So I don’t know what is going on, I’ll check that out! But watching these two big hitters go at it is very fun.”
