Aryna Sabalenka has continued her dominance of women’s tennis right now by beating Coco Gauff in the final of the Miami Open.
Sabalenka has sent a warning to her WTA rivals after yet another success, which has helped her complete the Sunshine Double.
She is now a 24-time WTA champion after beating Gauff, having already won three titles this season, for which she boasts a phenomenal 23-1 record.
Only Elena Rybakina has defeated Sabalenka in 2026, with the latter having also clinched the titles at Indian Wells and the Brisbane International.
The world number one has just defended her Miami Open title from last year, which the Belarusian has just celebrated on social media.
Aryna Sabalenka is now the — best women’s player of all time

Aryna Sabalenka shares her big motivation after Miami win
It’s been a whirlwind month for Sabalenka, who defeated Elena Rybakina in the Indian Wells final earlier in March.
And she has now shared insight into her motivation to achieve such success, explaining her motivation to make tennis history and become a legend of the sport.
She told the WTA website: “When I lost my father, I just set up a goal that I want to put our family name in history, and that’s been something that’s been pushing me so hard every day to work hard, to become a better player and I also become a better person.
“That’s my motivation, and also I would like to be an example of someone who has fun off the court, but also like super focused when I’m competing just to show… I feel this is the healthiest approach.
“This is the healthiest approach to this really tough competitive sport.”

The approach is definitely working for Sabalenka, who clearly knows how to have fun off the court after working so hard on it.
And that has undoubtedly been helped by the Belarusian receiving more than $2.3million in prize money as she claimed career titles number 23 and 24 in the United States.
Sabalenka will already go down as one of the best there ever was, but she’s evidently not finished just yet.
A well-earned rest is now likely on the cards for the latest player to complete the Sunshine Double, with the clay-court swing rapidly approaching.
| Result | Year | Tournament | Surface | Opponent | Score |
| Win | 2023 | Australian Open | Hard | Elena Rybakina | 4–6, 6–3, 6–4 |
| Loss | 2023 | US Open | Hard | Coco Gauff | 6–2, 3–6, 2–6 |
| Win | 2024 | Australian Open | Hard | Zheng Qinwen | 6–3, 6–2 |
| Win | 2024 | US Open | Hard | Jessica Pegula | 7–5, 7–5 |
| Loss | 2025 | Australian Open | Hard | Madison Keys | 3–6, 6–2, 5–7 |
| Loss | 2025 | French Open | Clay | Coco Gauff | 7–6(7–5), 2–6, 4–6 |
| Win | 2025 | US Open | Hard | Amanda Anisimova | 6–3, 7–6(7–3) |
| Loss | 2026 | Australian Open | Hard | Elena Rybakina | 4–6, 6–4, 4–6 |
Just one of her eight Grand Slam finals has been played on the surface, with Sabalenka losing last year’s French Open title fight with Gauff.
Given her ruthless form this season, she simply cannot be ruled out of another major clay final, a surface on which she’ll be desperate for big success given her broader career ambitions.
