Aryna Sabalenka has made a dominant start in her bid to win the French Open title this year.
Sabalenka is one of the French Open favourites this year, as she is the world number one and is coming into the tournament in strong form.
This includes a title for the Belarusian, with Sabalenka winning the Madrid Open earlier this month.
However, there were some question marks over Sabalenka after she lost to Qinwen Zheng at the Italian Open, but there appears to be no hangover in Paris.
Aryna Sabalenka matches Serena Williams record after French Open win
In her first round match at the 2025 French Open, Sabalenka beat Kamila Rakhimova, 6-1 6-0, in just over an hour on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
This is the first time that Sabalenka has played the French Open as the top seed, and she has now made history following her dominant victory.
As a result of her emphatic win at the French Open, Sabalenka has become the first top seed since Serena Williams in 2013 to lose just one game in their opening match at the clay court major.
Williams beat Anna Tatishvili, 6-0 6-1, in her first match of the tournament that year.
The American would go on to win her second French Open title that year, and did so by dropping just one set.

After winning her first round match in Paris, Sabalenka has now joined a group of four players to have won their first round match at the French Open seven years in a row.
Other names on this list include Daria Kasatkina, Elise Mertens and the soon-to-be-retired Caroline Garcia.
Four-time champion Iga Swiatek can join this list if she wins her first round match against Rebecca Sramkova.
The only time that Sabalenka did not win her first round match came in her debut appearance in 2018, when she lost to Kiki Bertens.
Next up for Sabalenka will be either Jil Teichmann or qualifier Lucrezia Stefanini.
