Aryna Sabalenka continues to impress in 2025, having just reached the final of the Miami Open.
World number one Aryna Sabalenka has now reached four finals in 2025, thanks to her win over Jasmine Paolini in the Miami Open semi-finals.
Sabalenka had beaten Qinwen Zheng to qualify for the last four before dismantling her Italian opponent, 6-2, 6-2, to advance to the final.

The 26-year-old will take on home favorite Jessica Pegula on Saturday, the woman she beat to take home the US Open title last September.
Ahead of her second consecutive WTA 1000 final, Sabalenka answered questions from the media, revealing just how much tennis she watches.
Aryna Sabalenka is ‘curious’ to see how ATP players deal with pressure when watching them on TV
During her post-match press conference following her win over Paolini, Sabalenka was asked how much tennis she watches during her downtime.
“It is always tennis on my TV actually. I don’t know why,” she said.
“I am actually enjoying watching tennis lately, that’s crazy.
“I am getting old.”

Sabalenka then explained what she looks for when watching the stars of the ATP and WTA Tour compete.
“When I watch men’s tennis I definitely try to see what they do differently,” she said.
“Obviously a lot of things, but I try and see what I could try to practice and try to get better and try to bring on court.
“When I watch girls, I am just trying to see what are they doing, where are they struggling, trying to analyse a little bit.

“But also I would say that whenever I watch tennis I am more watching it from a mental side of the game.
“I see some of the things, and I am curious like, okay, how is the player going to handle this pressure, especially the men’s, like what are they going to do under this pressure.
“I think whenever I watch tennis I am more looking into the mental side of the game.”
Sabalenka may well have paid close attention to Pegula’s win over Alexandra Eala as she prepares for her ninth career meeting with the American.

The Belarussian also leads ATP number one Jannik Sinner by over 1,000 points, establishing herself as the best active player in 2025.

A title for Sabalenka in Miami would see her extend the gap at the top to over 500 points, giving her a comfortable lead ahead of the clay court season.

She won’t have things all her own way, however, as Pegula would no doubt love to insert herself into the conversation with a big win in Florida.
It remains to be seen who comes out on top when Sabalenka takes on Pegula for the Miami Open title on Saturday, March 29.
