Annabel Croft has named her favourite player on the WTA tour ahead of the Wimbledon Championships.

Predicting the winner of the grass court tournament this year seems as challenging as it ever has been, with the field looking wide open ahead of the upcoming Grand Slam.

Some players are already at the All-England Club preparing for the event while some are still getting matches under their belt before the action begins at SW19.

But there is one competitor in particular that the Croft enjoys watching more than any other at the moment and keen to see how she performs at Wimbledon.

Which WTA player does Annabel Croft love watching play?

There are players with several different styles on the WTA tour, but very few possess a game like World number 10 Ons Jabeur.

Her deft touch and array of slices and drop shots make her very entertaining to watch, and the Tunisian has certainly caught the eye of Croft.

“Probably my favourite player. We all warm to her personality and her game is so artistic and creative, she can do anything,” the tennis pundit told The Radio Times.

“There’s been so much heartache in the two finals she’s lost. She froze last year against a then unseeded Marketa Vondrousova.

“She’s taken a long time to get the tennis back together but it began to fire at the French Open. She will need to bring her level up for WImbledon. So many would love to see her win.”

Has Ons Jabeur won Wimbledon?

Wimbledon has been Jabeur’s most successful Grand Slam in her career so far. The 29-year-old has reached three Grand Slam finals in total, two of which have come at the All-England Club.

However, the Tunisian has yet to win the major, after suffering agonising defeats in both the 2022 and 2023 championship matches.

Two years ago she took on Elena Rybakina and despite winning the first set, Jabeur won just four more games as she suffered a crushing three-set loss.

A year later she faced the unseeded Marketa Vondrousova in the final, and the Czech overcame Jabeur 6-4, 6-4 to win her first Grand Slam title.
