The Wimbledon warm-up at Queen’s Club is in full swing and Carlos Alcaraz was imperious once again yesterday.
He won in straight sets against Francisco Cerundolo to set up a last-16 clash against Jack Draper.
Alcaraz is fresh from his stunning win over Alexander Zverev in the French Open final at Roland Garros earlier this month.
Now, he’s targeting the defence of two titles he won on grass last year at Queen’s and Wimbledon.
At 21-years-old it’s quite scary what Alcaraz could achieve in professional tennis and the future looks extremely bright.
After his comfortable win yesterday, the BBC team raved about him, with Annabel Croft particularly impressed.

The talented youngster will take some stopping at Queen’s once again following his maiden title at the venue last year.
On that occasion, he defeated Alex de Minaur in the final and now he will have another title in his sights.
Croft is clearly a huge fan of Alcaraz and she couldn’t praise him highly enough following his latest win on grass.
She told BBC Sport (18/06; 16:32pm): “Electrifying is a great word for him. He brings this sparkle and energy to the court and you can see from the reaction of the crowd, they’re ooh-ing and aah-ing when they’re watching him.
“He has every shot in the book and it’s an amalgamation of all the great players and it’s so unusual for someone of his age to be this developed so early on.
“You know, he can play passively from the back and then turn it into attack. He can suddenly explode onto the ball, he can play with slice and dictate the pace that way.
“He’s so dynamic and he can go from backcourt to forecourt in such a short space of time.
“The way he volleys is absolutely superb for someone of his age, it’s like second nature. He literally has everything you want in a tennis player rolled into one player.”
Alcaraz can enjoy more magic moments in Great Britain
The youngster is capable of taking tennis by storm and he’s already the youngest player to win a major on all three surfaces.
Last year, Great Britain proved a happy hunting ground for Alcaraz and he relishes coming to England.
Now, the UK public can expect more fireworks from the Spanish sensation and it’s hard to imagine him not winning more titles this year.
Croft is right when discussing Alcaraz and the presence he has on a tennis court.
He glides around it in the same fashion as Roger Federer, has the defensive game of Novak Djokovic and can hit the power shots much like Rafael Nadal.
Clearly, Alcaraz has some learning still to do but he already has an aura about him and fans flocked to the main court at Queen’s to see him yesterday.
