Novak Djokovic has breezed into another Wimbledon final after his straight sets semi-final win over Lorenzo Musetti.

The seven-time SW19 champion now faces Carlos Alcaraz for the trophy, in what is a repeat of last year’s final.

In 2023, it was the Spaniard who came out on top, denying Djokovic an eighth Wimbledon title on Centre Court.

The Wimbledon crowd will no doubt be hugely excited for this latest clash between the pair, having treated the duo differently so far this month.

The Serbian has been involved with many tense altercations with the supporters, while Alcaraz was booed in jest by the Wimbledon crowd after his semi-final win.

Djokovic has dominated the headlines at SW19 for that ongoing tussle, but also for his rapid recovery from a torn meniscus.

He underwent surgery just last month after suffering from the problem, with tennis icon Andy Roddick now sharing his thoughts on Djokovic’s recovery ahead of the Wimbledon final.

“Novak is in the Wimbledon final weeks after having a knee operation,” Roddick wrote on X. “I have a guy on my fantasy baseball team who fouled a ball off his leg six weeks ago and progressed to playing a game of catch yesterday… Great is great.

“I didn’t see it as a possibility. Bet against the all time greats at your own peril. Props.”

Can Carlos Alcaraz overcome Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon again?

Djokovic is clearly a man on a mission, with the 24-time Grand Slam champion currently unstoppable on the grass.

He was forced to withdraw from the French Open due to his knee injury, but has shown few signs of it impacting his game.

The Serbian did, however, admit to some issues earlier in the tournament, with Djokovic saying that he had been ‘struggling’ with his movement.

Alcaraz could look to take advantage of that knee problem when the duo come together once more at the All England Club.

But Djokovic will be given some confidence due to their head-to-head record, with the veteran winning three of their five meetings so far.
