Emma Raducanu’s Wimbledon campaign came to an end after suffering defeat to world number one Aryna Sabalenka.
Raducanu lost in straight sets to Sabalenka, 7-6, 6-4, as the Belarusian advanced into the fourth round at the championships for the third time in her career.
The Briton had just come off a statement victory over former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova, in which she had produced arguably her best tennis in years.
She continued her impressive form against Sabalenka, forcing a tiebreak in the first set and going up a break in the second, but it wasn’t to be for Raducanu in the end.
As she now looks ahead to US Open preparations, former champion at Flushing Meadows, Andy Roddick, has just one request for the 22-year-old.

On the Served Podcast, Roddick said: “I think the match of the day here in England was Sabalenka against Raducanu. I thought Emma played well. I think she played well this tournament.
“The match against Vondrousova I did not see it going that handily towards Raducanu.
If I had one request leaving this tournament, please stay with Mark Petchey. It is working!
“You have looked better and better each time. Petch is a really good coach, and you seem to have a great camaraderie.
That is like, don’t fire someone and start over again and do the whole thing. Keep this continuity. I thought she played really well.
“It is really fun to watch her play because she is never going to hit the biggest shot on the court, but she is great at switching directions. Her shot tolerance is fantastic.
“Her ability to mix up spins and play like a slow roller and hold it to the last minute. It’s really interesting.”
Emma Raducanu’s grass court record with Mark Petchey as her coach
Raducanu had an entire grass-court season with Mark Petchey in her corner, and played at three tournaments on the surface.
She started off the swing at the first edition of the women’s tournament at Queen’s in over 50 years, where she defeated Cristina Bucsa in her first match at the Andy Murray Arena.
The British number one made the quarter-finals at the tournament before ultimately bowing out to first seed Qinwen Zheng.

At the Eastbourne Open, Raducanu won just one match against Ann Li, before losing to Maya Joint over three sets.
Finally, at Wimbledon, she kicked things off with a victory over compatriot Mingge Xu, before earning a huge win against Vondrousova.
Three-time Grand Slam champion Sabalenka proved too much in the end, but Raducanu can leave SW19 with plenty of confidence in her game.
