Andy Roddick has a new prediction over which woman will win the Wimbledon title.

There have been plenty of shocks on the female side of the draw at the All-England Club in 2024, with just one member of the top five still in contention.

There is a golden opportunity for those remaining to make their way through the rest of the field to lift the coveted Venus Rosewater Dish.

But judging by how many surprises we have seen so far, it is tough to predict who will triumph at SW19, but Roddick has given it his best attempt.

Before the latest edition of Wimbledon commenced, Roddick predicted that Aryna Sabalenka would win the tournament.

However, the Australian Open champion is dealing with a shoulder injury and announced her withdrawal from the Grand Slam after the draw was made.

Therefore, Roddick now believes that Elena Rybakina, who won the title in 2022, will be the one to claim glory at Wimbledon once again. “I am going for Rybakina to win the title,” he said on the latest episode of his ‘Served Podcast.

“Paolini makes her second straight Grand Slam final. I am having a lot of scar tissue from Paolini proving me wrong. The last month of my life, half the days have been Paolini saying ‘don’t underestimate me’, you suck!”

Who does Andy Roddick’s Wimbledon winner prediction play next?

Roddick predicted Rybakina to win Wimbledon, and she is now in the quarter-finals where she will play 21st seed Elina Svitolina.

The Kazak player is the only Wimbledon champion left in the draw after 2018 and 2023 winners Angelique Kerber and Marketa Vondrosova lost in the first round.

During her campaign she has claimed routine wins over Elena-Gabriela Ruse and former World number one Caroline Wozniacki, before needing three sets to defeat Laura Siegemund.

Rybakina was leading her fourth tie against Anna Kalinskaya by a set and a break when the Ukrainian retired with a shoulder injury midway through the second set.
