The 2024 season-ending championships are well underway in Turin as the top eight players battle it out for the prestigious trophy.
Some competitors have looked very solid this week, while others have struggled to find their best form.
But there is something very interesting that has taken place at the ATP Finals which is a rare sight to see.

Day four of the ATP Finals concluded with Alexander Zverev’s 7-6(3), 6-3 victory over Casper Ruud.
This marked the eighth successive match at the latest edition of the tournament that has ended in straight sets.
To reach this point in the tournament without a three-set match is something that is very unusual with the top eight players in the world competing against one another.
During an appearance on the Tennis Channel Live podcast, former players and Grand Slam champions Andy Roddick and Jim Courier could not believe that no match has gone beyond three sets at the ATP Finals so far.
“It’s crazy. I don’t know if I have seen anything like it before at an ATP World Tour final,£ Roddick said. “I thought we might have one at the end of that Rublev vs Alcaraz match but it wasn’t to be.
Courier added: “I am surprised too. I wouldn’t have been surprised if the court was as fast as it was in Bercy last week, which was borderline unplayable.
“But this court seems to have forgiveness for the players to play longer rallies but we are just seeing straight sets. All business.”
Who is playing at the ATP Finals next?
On day five at the ATP Finals the last set of round robin matches will take place.
In the day session, Taylor Fritz will look to confirm his place in the semi-finals when he takes on Alex de Minaur.
The Australian is already out of contention for the final four, but Fritz needs a victory after losing his second match to Jannik Sinner.
Speaking of the World number one, he will take on former US Open champion Daniil Medvedev in the night session.
This will be the pair’s sixth meeting in 2024 and the Russian needs to claim victory to have any chance of qualifying for the semi-finals.
