Andy Murray might have exited Queen’s yesterday but the tournament has seen him share a practice court with Carlos Alcaraz.
The pair practised together prior to the tournament getting underway, with Murray actually winning the one set they played.
Murray was forced to retire injured at 4-1 down in the first set against Jordan Thompson yesterday and his Queen’s career looks to be over.
The Great Britain star will retire at some point this year and after his exit yesterday, he was asked about playing a practice set with Alcaraz.
It would seem as though Murray has the utmost respect for the 21-year-old and enjoyed playing with him at the event this week.

It’s good to see the players being put through their paces out on the practice court and it’s even better when they play sets against each other.
Murray on current form practising with Alcaraz might seem a bit of a mismatch but he clearly enjoyed the experience.
He’s raved about Alcaraz following his exit from Queen’s and hopefully, he can now ensure he’s fit for Wimbledon.
On his practice set with Alcaraz, Murray told Tennis TV: “I was really excited to practice with him because, well, I love watching him play for sure he’s one of my favourite players to watch and he’s one of the best players in the world.
“I was really pumped to go and practice with him and see a little bit where my game was at and see how he’s playing as well.
“It’s interesting for me having played against Roger (Federer), Rafa (Nadal) and Novak (Djokovic) and then getting the chance to – like I practised with Sinner before the Australian Open – it’s cool for me to get a chance to play with the newer generation and see what they do better or worse than the guys I spent my whole career playing against.
“I really enjoyed it and I played pretty well.”
Murray clearly doesn’t want to let go of tennis just yet
If Murray was merely going through the motions he wouldn’t be going out of his way to play against the reigning French Open champion in practice.
He’s still keen to leave no stone unturned when it comes to his performance levels and he’s going to fight until the bitter end.
Murray is part of Team GB for the Olympics and after playing in that and Wimbledon perhaps the curtain will come down on his career.
The three-time Grand Slam winner has absolutely nothing left to prove and hopefully, he can overcome his injuries and finish his career with a bit of a flourish.
