Andy Murray achieved plenty in his career despite being in the same era as Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
The 37-year-old ended his career as the greatest British tennis player in the Open Era and made history by becoming the only player to win two singles Olympic gold medals.
He competed at the top of the game for the majority of his career and pushed the likes of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic on a more consistent basis than any other player.
The trio pushed Murray to become a better player and he has taken his rightful place among the legends of the game.

Andy Murray says if it was harder to play Roger Federer on grass or Rafael Nadal on clay
Andy Murray played plenty of matches against Federer and Nadal during his career.
He also had the challenge of facing both players on their favourite surface, Federer on grass and Nadal on clay.
Federer won 192 grass court matches during his career and lost just 29, giving him an impressive win percentage of 87%.
Nadal on the other hand, won 484 clay court matches and lost 51. The Spaniard’s win percentage of 90% on the surface is just staggering.
Murray had some titanic battles with Federer and Nadal on grass and clay respectively, and during a video on the Fore Bros’ YouTube channel, the Brit said who is harder to play against on their favourite surface.
“I would say Nadal on clay is the hardest. Definitely,” the three-time Grand Slam champion said.

What are Andy Murray’s records against Roger Federer on grass and Rafael Nadal on clay?
Murray played Federer 25 times during his career, and three of these matches came on grass.
The first took place in the 2012 Wimbledon final. Murray took the first set before the Swiss Maestro stormed back to claim a four-set win and lift his seventh title at the All-England Club.
Later that same summer, Murray played Federer in the Olympics final, which also took place at Wimbledon. Murray won 6-2 6-1 6-4 to win the first of his two gold medals.
The pair played for the final time on grass at Wimbledon in 2015. Federer won a tight semi-final 7-5 7-5 6-4, and this was the penultimate meeting between the two players in their career head-to-head rivalry.
Murray played Nadal 24 times, nine of which took place on clay. Nadal won seven of those encounters, and both of Murray’s clay victories came at the Madrid Open.
Murray stunned the Spanish crowd when he beat Nadal in the 2015 final to win his first clay court title, before repeating the feat in the 2016 semi-final, both in straight sets.
