Jannik Sinner has shot to stardom in recent years, and is now widely considered one of men’s tennis’ top talents.
After all, the speed with which he has risen to prominence, claiming the Australian Open title at the tender age of 22, has been meteoric.
The expectation is that he will go on to enjoy a long and illustrious career at the top of the game, challenging Carlos Alcaraz for many major titles over the next decade.

That is, despite their clear friendship, with the Spaniard one of the first to congratulate him after his Melbourne success.
But what is it about Sinner that makes Ana Ivanovic in particular so happy? Let’s take a closer look…
What Ana Ivanovic said about Jannik Sinner
As a former world number one, Ivanovic certainly knows what it takes to be a competitor at the elite level of the sport.
And, as someone who worked closely with Darren Cahill, the Italian’s current coach, they do share a link.
In fact, when talking about Sinner, whilst she predicted big things for the young superstar, she also noted how important such a calm and intelligent presence in a player’s box can be.

The 36-year-old claimed, first on Sinner: ‘If he just keeps doing what he is doing there are many more Grand Slam titles for him. I really enjoy watching him. He seems like a very nice person, which is very beautiful to see.’
She then moved on to Cahill: ‘I always enjoyed working with Darren because he is so knowledgeable about tennis. He was always giving me the best advice in the moments when you are the most under pressure. He always found words to calm me down and to point me in the right direction. I was very happy when I saw him in Jannik’s box.’
Jannik Sinner will hope to add to his Grand Slams this season
Whilst Ivanovic is predicting many more major titles across Sinner’s career, the world number four will be quietly confident of potentially adding to his Australian Open triumph this very season.
After all, whilst hard court might favour his fast and energetic play style, he has enjoyed success across all surfaces during his short career.
Reaching the quarter-finals of Roland-Garros back in 2020 marked an impressive feat, and only last year did he reach the semi-finals of Wimbledon too.

And, after claiming silverware in Melbourne, the US Open could also represent a fine opportunity to replicate such hard-court success too.
Nick Kyrgios has already made a bold prediction rating Sinner’s chances in New York.
Although his career is certain to be laden with trophies, 2024 represents a fine opportunity to build that foundation for unlimited success.
