Jeffrey John Wolf, better known as JJ Wolf, has returned to tennis in winning fashion after over a year on the sidelines.
Wolf has been ranked as high as world number 39 in the ATP rankings, but now finds himself unranked after a difficult few years.
The 27-year-old played just 10 matches in 2025, before Wolf retired after just three games in his qualifying match at the Delray Beach Open.
Over a year since his match, Wolf has returned to professional tennis with a victory.

Wolf has made his return to tennis in Naples, Florida, at an ITF 15k level tournament after receiving a wildcard.
ITF 15k tournaments are the lowest level in professional tennis, with Wolf’s first round opponent in Naples the world number 914.
Showcasing his superior experience at the top of professional tennis, Wolf beat Argentinian Fermin Tenti, 6-1 6-3.
This is Wolf’s first win since January last year, which has earned him just one ranking point for his efforts.
Regardless of the number of points it has earned Wolf, it is a positive sign that he is back winning tennis matches of any kind.

Wolf has never won a title on the ATP Tour, but he did reach the final of the Florence Open in 2022, before being beaten by Felix Auger-Aliassime.
The American has also reached the second week of a Grand Slam, which Wolf achieved at the 2023 Australian Open.
